Neptune Energy’s manual AFE approval solution made traceability and circulation of documents extremely difficult. Additionally, the manual AFE approval process was less transparent and thus it was challenging to maintain compliance with the approval process.
Users were not able to track the status of the manual AFE application. The manual AFE process was taking a long time to get the response and approval from the respective stakeholders. In case the reviewer/approver was on long leave/ or needed clarification from other users, this process took much longer, and the requestor did not get notified about the request status.
Generation of any reports or dashboards of AFE’s submitted and corresponding amounts involved manual effort and was error-prone and time-consuming.

Neptune Energy was using manual (paper based) process for AFE approval which was extremely tedious and time consuming.

Acuvate leveraged its vertical focus and expertise on Microsoft products to provide an automated solution for Neptune Energy’s AFE process. Acuvate built a custom application, with multi-lingual support, on SharePoint Online using Microsoft Flows to create configurable workflows that could easily accommodate changes in the workflow if needed.

Provider Hosted App

AFE application will be created as Provider Hosted App and will be hosted in Azure App service.

Web Jobs

Web Job is used to fetch the User’s data from Active Directory and store the data in SQL Database and the Job will be executed as per configuration.

Microsoft Flow

An automated Microsoft Flow will be used to send Notification Mails / Escalation Mails / Reminder mails to respective users and will be executed as per configuration.

SQL Database

Transaction data, Master data will be stored in Azure SQL DB.
